[Outfit] Soup of the Day: Nicole in the Wonderland x random daily life.

My friend reminded me that I seldom update about my Soup of the Day outfit album lately, and yes, I feel bad about not being persistent but I am just too busy preparing for my coming grad collection and for the flower crowns I've promised to make for 2 of my beloved friends' wedding. 

Anyway, here is the little sum-up for the past few days of what I am up to. So there is the outfit I wore days ago. Casual simple black pullover with the vintage dreamy colour midi, the pattern feels like the free-movement of watercolour. We went for dinner after class and I saw this dreamy set-up by Daydream Nation, I felt like I walked into the wonderland! Love the mood and especially the pastel small houses done by Stickyline. 

Drawings by my man - [ here ] is his wonderland where he collects inspirations and shares his drawings and paintings. 

Did I mention that I am in love with red lips lately? It goes well with casual outfit, especially black. It could add cool feminine touch easily to the simple basic outfit, or it could emphasize the drama for the dramatically exaggerate outfit. 

And then, I bought the same pair of unicorn tights yesterday from RI by Carrie, exactly the same as the one I got long time ago. I met the designer and she is so kind. Love her new designs as well. Anyway, yea, call me freak. I would double everything I love in my closet if I could, just to avoid that I couldn't get them anymore if mine is broken, stolen, get caught in fire, or bitten by mouse, or it runaway from me the freak, perhaps? Whatever. I just love to stock up, that's my biggest problem too. Well, I have already stock up for those pair of shoes I am wearing. *wink* 

And then, I also just finished one of the crowns I've promised to make, I hope the bride-to-be would feel happy about it. 

Last but not least, since it's about dreamy wonderland for this post, I would love to end it with Anne Siems' artworks, it's so beautifully inspiring!

Soup of the Day: Art and Literature.

We are so happy that the Eslite bookstore is opened in Hong Kong months ago, which is originally based in Taiwan. The bookstore normally close at 2 a.m. for most days, which is a really good news for us who would love to find somewhere to stay and wandering around at late night. 

That day, we went there and dined in at the Eslite Tea Room to celebrate the belated birthday of my man, then we started to stroll in the bookstore. We came to this small space where they show different artists artwork for different period. That day, this flowery work is exhibited, and we think it looks so good and fit for an outfit quick shot. I think the Chinese x Japanese-ish of the art-piece fitting well with my outfit, especially my new footwear. 

So, with all the literature and art, also the meal and dessert, we both are so satisfied and inspired!

The childhood dreams... - haoshi Design

I saw this lovely merry-go-round clock at MOD Design Store at Macau few days ago (could you believe that? It's actually a clock! I thought it was a music box, but a clock! That's so cool! ) Anyway, fall in love with the luxurious all-white design. It says the characters (father, mother and kid) represent the different clock pointers. This whole idea is so romantic. Don't you think so? 

Oh, I forget to mention, it's the product of a brand - houshi Design Studio - from Taiwan. 

They also have balloon lights (literally it is a balloon and a light, a balloon-shaped light) and other fashion accessories, such as rings and necklaces (the above horses are one of their necklace pendants design). They are so cute and also nostalgic. Remind me of the childhood dreams.

Ursus Wehrli : The Art of Clean Up

I was surfing around Facebook and saw the sharing about this Swiss artist Ursus Wehrli who released his book titled The Art of Clean Up. This is pretty interesting that the artist rearranged the disorder scenes which could occur in normal daily life. 


Ok, this post is not about fashion. But I just really want to share this crazy funny thing and I personally think they do look beautiful. Love the colours. Life should be inspired. 

My mind does appear the term 'OCD' when I first saw these pictures. I think it's pretty obvious that some of the pieces are rearranged by photoshop or other softwares, whilst for some the artist really did arrange them manually. 


I, myself, love the food pictures, both the alphabets and the fruits. 
Anyway, I won't want a tidy sky with stars in such clean order. It gives me the message that messy is beautiful sometimes, although most of the times I love consistency on stuffs. But not all, sometimes I do agree beautiful imperfection in fashion. And also, natural is really the best sometimes. 

La-di-da~

I love this crazy idea anyway! AND, I admire the persistence!
