I'm in the flowery pond.

Another flower crown I did for my friend's pre-wedding shooting. 

I have been staying in the secret garden lately and bathing in the tub with lots and lots of flowers, quite literally, no? Firstly, I had just finished the crowns for friends' wedding (though I heard a bad news that one of the crown was broken by the makeup artist during the bridal makeover. Anyway.) and also just done with the headpieces for the coming grad show (not flower crowns this time, will show picture later after the show). I am also quite easily attracted by flowers lately, they make me feel happy. 

So I guess this post is just some random sharing about flowers I am dealing with lately and flowers I saw when I wondering around on streets, which inspired me at some point. 

Could anyone please tell me the name of this cute creature? 

I find this is an interesting culture here using cabbage in flower basket.

[Outfit] Birthday Princess

Finally I am done editing my photos for my birthday celebration in Disneyland a week ago. 

(Yes, so now I am officially a year older than last year!) 
This post will be a little bit long, not only showing my outfit but also showing the beauty of Disneyland. 

I had prepared a Disney princess flower crown for the birthday celebration about half a month ago (I'm seriously obsessed about dressing up). I was addicted to collect this series of Disney princess which I got them from the 'capsule toy' machine, where you have to put the coins and try your luck to get the toy you like (it is something like a lucky draw, and the toys are inside the egg-shaped capsules). Anyway, I have tried really hard and spent quite lots of money to finally get the Cinderella I want! Of course, I have doubled most of the other princess, and these are the inspiration for my birthday crown!

I bought this vintage dress for months ago but I decided to keep it until my birthday, as I think it feels quite Disney-ish, like the maid in Disney cartoons? (Oh, and I have already decided to go to Disneyland months before my birthday and I have also got the permission from my man after some begging. Birthday girl always get what she wants right? *wink)

I chose the small pinky children bag to be matchy with the colour of my crown (that's a bag for children if I'm not mistaken, but I love the colour and the price is insanely cheap, again). Anyway, I added the beads and lace on the stripe so that the bag won't be looking too boring. 

I really love Disneyland, I think most of the girls do! I can let myself dream freely in Disney, I could totally let go and act like a child in Disneyland! I could jumping here and there in Disneyland like a stupid kid and also letting the innocent side of me wondering around! 

And I definitely love everything, all the decos and lighting, just everything in there! They looks very vintage! 

Also, I realised that I am really into the light bulbs. There are so many light bulbs and I am in love with them! The light bulbs make me feel like I'm back to the 50s 60s Hollywood scenes.

[Outfit] Keeping Romance Alive

I am so inspired by many bloggers that they have the whole look for their outfit posts, from head to toes, they won't neglect any small parts of them. They do their hair and they paint their nails to match their look. To be honest, I am a lazy person. I didn't normally do my hair and nails until I read the blogs and found that most of the bloggers do care about the whole look. 

Hence, I started to paint my nails. I started to take care of my hair as well instead of just matching the clothes  and bags. As I have this boring straight black hair, I try to 'decorate' my hair a little bit everytime I am dressing up; I am into headbands lately, be it flowery or not, or I would just simply clip my hair to the back and be a casual look. 

Every time I wear a headband, I feel that I am living in 50s. I likey! 

Yes, I am still wearing the headband from Tracy, as mentioned in my previous post. The colour of the headband is just lovely and it goes well with vintage look. By the way, for the latest information I got from her, the headband only costs around £1 or £2! Anyway, the main reason I wear it so often is because it is so easy to put on, I do not need to tie a scarf myself on my head, I just slipped it on and I am ready to go! 

The lace top is an old garment I found in my closet which I bought years ago in the UK (as I said, I try not to throw away my clothes, especially those with high potential! I would always find a way to mix and match the old pieces with my new stuffs). Anyway, it's actually a long top which I used to wear it as a dress with tights long time ago. However, I find that it looks good too to tuck in! (See, this is the kind of clothing that I would categorise it into the 'high potential' section). 

Lately, besides the hair, I also can't really leave the house without the accessories. I wear bracelets, as I always do, and I also figure out another way to wear the flowery. The bunch of flowers on the handle of my bag is actually the headband I made days ago (as shown here), I tied it onto the handle of the bag, and I think it looks as good as it is on the head! It makes me feel so summer-ish (I really hate the hot weather tho'). 

I just feel that the old lace top looks harmonious with the flowery. They both together bring the romance to the 50s-ish headband. 

My friends gave me a crochet art DIY box set as my birthday present! Love it so much and can't wait to get started.

[Outfit] Dreamy Vintage Granny Look

As mentioned in previous blog, I went for outing + photo-shooting with the man who doesn't need to work on Saturday! So I decided to dig out this vintage blue dress with pleated midi which I bought sometimes ago but I haven't find the right moment to wear it; I love the colour of this dress which is in pastel blue with some pink and white polka dots on it, I find that it is very dreamy, hence, I decided to make myself a flower crown to match with it and also goes with the breezy summer (yes, I made this flower crown a day before the shooting just for the sake of matching; I know I'm a bit obsessive about it.); 

I am trying to be one of the grannies and trying to feel  like them.

I finish up the dreamy look with the stars and horse bracelets I made days ago, also I think it could create a balance look with the granny outfit. I think stars and horses are so dreamy, like unicorn in the universe? Or a marry-go-round under the starry nights? Alright, I am talking craps again. 

Anyway, do you notice the glitters on my flower crown? I used the glue which has glitters in it! I was looking for it since I last seen something similar in Tavi's Style Rookie and finally I found it in some handicrafts shop!! Hooray! I bought gold and darker silver with glitters as well, will try it out next time. I think that the glitters glue could cover the ugly that you wanna hide from being seen by others, such as the cuts of the stem of the flowers. 

Oh, and of course I want to talk about the new shoes I got from Monki (of yes I am a fans, too bad that I couldn't get Topshop here, so I invested big amount of my money to Monki, and thank God that we have COS in HK now). I found this pair of shoes is pretty interesting the first time I saw it in the shop, but I was stopped from buying it by my friend (who are trying calm me down from the mood of shopaholic-ness, I thank her for her goodwill); However, I just couldn't forget about the shimmering caused by the 'leather' of the shoes for days, so it is now staying happily ever after with me :) 

Before ending the post, I wanna share an interesting idea that the man who photo-shot me came out with for my facebook album about my outfit, he pop-out this idea to title my album as : SOUP OF THE DAY which give me the feeling of love at first sight! So the album is created with some descriptions I created for it -

I will add different kinds of ingredients according to my mood of the day, and hopefully, it comes out 'tasty' enough; 
Or at least, hopefully, not a catastrophe.

Meadham Kirchhoff Men's SS13

To be frank, I just can't get over this Menswear SS13 by Meadham Kirchhoff, even though it is like about a month ago!!

I really like the designers' way to express this collection. 

The whole pictures look graceful, even with the 'messiness' that was purposely created. Everything was just so harmoniously connected. 

Love the flowery, love the colours, love the mood, love how messy the places were.. love everything.

Also love the effort of the hairstylist, James Pecis, for this SS13; I agree with him that it is not easy to let go all the learnt knowledge in order to create this messy patchy hair styles, as his intention is to create the feeling that the boys did the hair by themselves in the morning at 4am after the night out. 

Well, good job Meadham Kirchhoff! 
So boys, you could actually go for flowery you know?
