Inner Child.

Purple sparkling nails with DIY kiddish necklace as headband x simple DIY LBD.

It's time for a quick sum up again cause I think I have abandoned this blog for too long. I really need to keep myself a habit to blog. Anyway, I didn't have too many outfits to post lately, as I just finished my exams and coming up with two design deadlines. Busy! But, well, c'est la vie! Isn't it?

Something to mention is, Topshop is finally opened in Hong Kong! I was so excited to go to the opening, but at last I didn't because they started to queue 3 and more hours before the opening! So, I went there few days later and it was still crowded! Long queue outside the fitting room, I was lazy to try on any clothings. Hence I got this nails package which doesn't need fitting! I am always a big fan of Topshop Nails! I always ask my friend to bring me this when they visit Hong Kong from Malaysia/UK.

Beautiful colours and glitters, aren't they? I am addicted to glitters lately, it makes me feel so fairy-ish and wakes up my inner child immediately, well, my inner child is pretty strong and tough who lives happily inside me (sometimes, she ran away when things gone slightly wrong, but yea she is a tough girl who comes back after cries). Talking about this, I thought of a quote "Creative adult is a child who survives" (something like that... hmm.. I forgot where I got this from).

I am really into fairy-tale and dreamy stuffs. So for the coming design submission which we need to create a garment with recycle theme, I have this sketched.

My design sketch, I titled it Waking Dream

I will create this look with used stuffs. Hope my new baby could be born smoothly tho.
At first I was quite worried about the boring look of the dress, honestly, I do not know how to create dramatic stage costume for a show because I can't imagine someone would like to wear it when I myself wouldn't want to. Yes, I love haute couture and I definitely love Mcqueen and CDG and other great designers who do beautiful dramatic show pieces. At the same time, I love some famous designers with more wearable collections like Lanvin and Jil Sander and others. So, when it comes to fashion show, I would really do something in between, trying to strike a balance. To be honest, I am just a beginner in fashion and do not know how to make those fine crafts, so I never could imagine me doing fine made couture. Yea, I just want to say I have been struggled alots from this point, and thankfully I have my man and some of my good friends who understand me and support me. One of my friend told me that I do not need to be creative as long as there is my personality in the design. This really means a lot to me. So I just gotta keep reminding myself to be sincere and be myself. Never try to be somebody else because you could never be exactly like that same person.

Alright, cut the craps.
Before ending this post, I would love to share this cute fairy-like inspiration from Lacy Barry, I first got addicted by the light bulbs headpiece when I was wondering in Pinterest, because my man and I were exactly having this same idea a month ago for the look with recycle theme as mentioned above. Anyway, I just felt excited to see the idea is actually doable.

Candyland Collection - the real pieces.

Finally, here is the pieces for my grad-show collection. Well, I am aware of that it looks kinda rough (exactly like a student's work), not professional enough, and also look a little bit boring (when I look back at these photos, I do feel boring. I guess we all are growing and improving each day, hence we'd see the flaws in our previous works).

Soup of the Day: Nerdy Day.

I went to the library to borrow some books about fairy tale, Shakespeare, English history etc, hoping to get some more inspiration for my collection sketches due on next week.

Anyway, then I went to the vacant rooftop of the library to wonder around. It feels good sometimes to go to places with no people. That allows you to have fun and to fool around, taking pictures without any interruption, and it would be a bonus if the place have lovely wall paint colour! Like this pastel blue colour in the pictures. I like! I think it matches with my hair colour. *grin*

Had fun on the rooftop!
Anyway, I am wearing this very old dress I got from H&M, I love the big round umbrella skirt! It just make me feels like dancing around with such wavy skirt! Furthermore, I love that it goes well with different kind of occasions, from work to study and also good for dating, my personal view. Well, that's why the little black dress is a must in the closest, isn't it?

Pair it up with the cardigan and the books, I feel so nerdy, in a good fashionable way. *wink*

[Outfit] I Dream of Provence

There are too much of negative political news lately in this country, which I won't go into details here, as this is a fashion blog, which I think should focus on the beautiful and inspirational stuffs and not the ugly political news.

However, I must mention about it because I wore the all black outfit in this post for supporting the people who are protesting about some rights. I am a person who are not really into politics and stuffs like that, but I would still respect and support the people who do right and good things. So, I wore black for the black Friday event (although I didn't attend the event).

However, I still think life should be happy! Even it is all black in life! I believe the bads are just temporarily. So, come on and have fun!

Because I have to wear black, and I want to go for all black, so I think I could add a little fun on my head. So there is the little golden crown!
Actually the credits should be given to the man who accidentally shaped it into something that looks really like a crown (he didn't even realise about that! He just thinks that the golden material looks matchy with the golden headband the time he made it), and that inspired me to make a proper crown with that childhood material.

I wore my all time favourite Monki dress, I bought it about a year ago and I wore it like more than millions time? I love how simple it is, I love how cute it is yet it could be so geek in a cool sense *wink* I love to be a geek really, as shown in the title of my blog.
The flowery is still tied on my bag (as shown here) as deco.

Anyway, I think someone would feel familiar with that lavenders background (if anyone is reading tho'); Yes! It is captured in front of the shop of L'occitane. I have blacks and they have purples.
So we think, why not we have a little fun trip to the Provence?

So that's what I can do with black!

[Outfit] Grand Wishful Unicorn

Weekend-photoshooting seems to be my usual routine lately, especially when I have bought something new or have made some new accessories, I just can't wait to show and share them!

So we went for a quick shoot yesterday with my newly bought stuffs (I think almost 90% of the things I wore yesterday for the shoot are new! *evil smile*) Yea, I went for shopping on Friday before my class (so I was like carrying whole big and heavy paper bag to the class)

Anyway, I finally bought a pair of Ri by Carrie tattoo tights which I wanted to get it for months!! There is a unicorn printed on it (UNICORN!!! Another thing I am quite obsessed about, besides the stars. It's so mysterious yet dreamy and beautiful, and it feels like it could bring hopes like the stars do.) I feel like I'm living in fairy tale with the unicorn tights *day dreaming*

Hence, I decided to go with the grand wishful unicorn look yesterday.

The unobvious pink colour on my hair are shown only under certain lighting.

Always love playground.

Love the detail of the bag!
Of course I do remember that I mentioned about the inspiration of the ombre hair colour for the shoot. So, I tried to colour my hair with the pastel chalk, as taught in some blogs online, where they taught us to wet the hair a little bit and apply the pastel on the hair directly, and fix the colour with hairspray (I sprayed a lot as the pastel could not easily stay on the hair!) uhm.. the effect is not really obvious though as seen in the picture, but it still could be seen with strong attention (well, it's not ombre though, just some highlighted pink hair? uhh.. )

Oh, as I said 90% of the things I wore are new, yes! So I bought the black sheer dress together with the tattoo tights. I made the new necklace with pearls and horse just to match with the unicorn and 'luxurious' mood. The flowery 'bag' was categorized at the make-up/accessories session in the shop, so I think it supposed to be a make-up bag, but who cares! I love the flowers and the colours! It's inexpensive as well. So I bought it and make it a 'clutch'. See, it just makes people feel happy by looking at it, and I absolutely love the detail of it where there is wordings "I know Love" on the zip. How true it is.

I am still in the i-D's wink mood.

[Outfit] Black x White the classic match.

Halo everyone! (If someone is reading tho')
This is my first ever snapshots post of my own outfit in this 'fashion blog'. I am a bit nervous and also was excited trying to act like expert blogger (errr.. I mean acting like), yes I have been dreaming to be an expert fashion blogger since the first time I read Tavi's blog (everyone knows Tavi right? Booo.. yea I'm still talking about Tavi, la di da), I am really inspired by her. Besides Audrey Hepburn, I think she would be the next person inspires me the most in my life; ok, I mean in my fashion life.

So, here we go~ I was wearing my 50% off COS's black dress with the belt I bought from Zara during the sales too, finish up the look with white loafers. Sorry for the blurry pictures and the repeated poses, as I said, I am really a newbie in this.

Anyway, this might seems to be under-dressed for a fashion blog I guess or this look doesn't show the breath of summer, but who cares. I love black, and I do think black and white is always the best and classic match. Don't we all love LBD?

I added the this 'ribbon-ish' thingy on my hair so that it could add a little statement to my plain look. It is actually a small square scarf with chiffon x organza-ish fabric (I seriously don't know what kind of fabric is that but it is hard enough to stand as a bow); I do think scarf is a good accessories, and it's not only for the neck!

Not to forget the vintage shoulder bag, I bought it in a really good price and I love it so much! It just simply goes with any kind of dress and look, especially vintage look. I hope I could capture a closer look of the bag next time. Again, I apologise for my experience-less fashion shooting.

Well, that's all for today. I hope this post doesn't cause you yawning.
