[Outfit] Under the Sea

Waaaaah!!!

Last week was a hectic week for me, with revisions and tests, anyway, I went to Ocean Park yesterday! I guess I should have a some fun after the stressful week before I start my further revision for coming exams again. 

Anyway, back to the Ocean Park and the outfit I wore yesterday. For those haven't visited Hong Kong before, Ocean park could be literally interpreted, where there are different species of sea creatures and also penguins and etc. Also there is a theme park with different kind of rides and also there are perfomances showing at different time slots. Basically it's a theme park with great aquariums. It has been a really long since my last visit to the park, like 10 years ago? I enjoyed this visit very much!

I wore a vintage blue x white dress, which I think it suits the ocean theme well! Well, I bought the shark headband from the Park to be more into the ocean mood. It looks fun!
I was like a little kid, jumping around and kept shouting : "Wow! So beautiful! Take picture for me!!" There are lots of colourful walls and pretty decorations and of course beautiful fishes and stuffs!

We played hide and seek in between the seaweed. Ahh.. kidding! The cute little girl just joined me for picture *smile*

 And here goes the aquariums with fishes and the beautiful jelly-fishes...

It is so dreamy with the lights shine through the water and the music playing in big aquarium, and the elegant movement of the fishes and jelly-fish, especially the Sea-Jelly Spectacular (this name is found in the Ocean Park official site, but I think the direct translate from the Chinese name is much more beautiful, which would be: Sea Jelly Kaleidoscope)

[Outfit] I Dream of Provence

There are too much of negative political news lately in this country, which I won't go into details here, as this is a fashion blog, which I think should focus on the beautiful and inspirational stuffs and not the ugly political news. 

However, I must mention about it because I wore the all black outfit in this post for supporting the people who are protesting about some rights. I am a person who are not really into politics and stuffs like that, but I would still respect and support the people who do right and good things. So, I wore black for the black Friday event (although I didn't attend the event). 

However, I still think life should be happy! Even it is all black in life! I believe the bads are just temporarily. So, come on and have fun!

Because I have to wear black, and I want to go for all black, so I think I could add a little fun on my head. So there is the little golden crown! 

Actually the credits should be given to the man who accidentally shaped it into something that looks really like a crown (he didn't even realise about that! He just thinks that the golden material looks matchy with the golden headband the time he made it), and that inspired me to make a proper crown with that childhood material. 

I wore my all time favourite Monki dress, I bought it about a year ago and I wore it like more than millions time? I love how simple it is, I love how cute it is yet it could be so geek in a cool sense *wink* I love to be a geek really, as shown in the title of my blog. 

The flowery is still tied on my bag (as shown here) as deco. 

Anyway, I think someone would feel familiar with that lavenders background (if anyone is reading tho'); Yes! It is captured in front of the shop of L'occitane. I have blacks and they have purples.

So we think, why not we have a little fun trip to the Provence? 

So that's what I can do with black!

[Outfit] L'étudiante

As mentioned earlier, I go to French class every Sunday at Alliance Française de Hong Kong. I love French and I love their culture as well. I love the dressing up and the style and the attitude of French people. I think most of those who love fashion would have that Paris dream. To be honest, I have never been to Paris; I went to places in Europe like Italy, Spain, Geneva, etc when I was studying in UK; but I haven't been to France once. I don't know why I have no such huge fantasy going there even I was already started taking up French course that time. Of course, now I regret that I have never been to France, I regret that I refused joining my parents to France when they visited me in the UK. 

So, for every week, I try to dress up to class! It is not only learning the language but also learning their culture right? I always imagine that a French lady would dress up even she is only going to a grocery. To respect the culture, also to satisfy my own Parisian fantasy, I try to dress like a French student to class. (Forgive my craps, and I think I don't dress like a Parisian but I am just trying to convey my own French mood. Most importantly, is to enjoy the dressing up! )

Last week, as usual, I tried to dress up to French class even though I was feeling ill. 

(I realised that my face looked really sick in the photos. Hhmph... )

Please forgive the stupid expression, I was literally snapped shot. I was really sick that day.  

I decided to go for a casual vintage look. 

Actually the headband is a gift from my man's sister, she told me that she was trying to finish her money left in her bank account in UK because it will be expired soon, so she went spending all the money - which is £17 -- in ASOS online. Well, I am quite amazed by how wisely she could spend the £17 when I saw the parcel came. The parcel includes one hat, two headbands and a pair of ear-rings. For me, there is a lot of stuffs with only £17! 

Well, the skirt is also a gift from her. I think this blog is basically a thank-you note for her.  

She bought the skirt randomly with an inexpensive price. She told me that she couldn't resist buying it even though she knows that it might not fit her well because she found the fabric is quite good in quality and which could worth more than the price tag, which I agree! 

She tried it on when she got home but she thinks it looks too short on her and so she gave it to me, as she thinks it suits my vintage look (and I am much shorter than her so the length of the skirt suits me well), and yay! I thanked-her for the new skirt in my closet :)

The bag was the vintage bag I mentioned in one of my old post [here], finally I have a close-up-capture of it. It was bought in a very good price, inexpensive price; and I love that the length of the bag could be altered, I could carry it in several ways, that's the point I bought it! 

Done with the styling part, now back to the French class. As I said I started to take French in University but I didn't take it seriously, what a shame. I skipped classes (blame the winter! Although I love snow, but I just couldn't leave my warm bed in the early morning. Booo.. ), I don't dare to get my French exam result because I felt that I am writing nonsense and speaking nonsense during the oral session. So, now I am starting all over again from level 1. Great. However, the difference is, now I pay full attention during class as I know that I must grab the opportunity tight when it comes the second time! I gave up once, I can't repeat that stupid huge mistake again. 

Alright, off to class. Sorry for the long winded post.

Flower Crown never out for Summer! [DIY + Tavi's tutorial]

Everyone love Tavi so much, so do I ! 

I am really inspired by her styles, always. 

Talking about Tavi, we would easily think of her remarkable style with different headpieces and her DIY floral crowns. 

Not only Tavi, Lana Del Rey has her flower headband too: 

So I did my own very first flower crown!

Actually the process of making the floral crown is easy, basically it's all about cutting and gluing.
